The “Black Clover” dub was dubbed into English in 2018 by Crunchy.
However, this was only the second dub to be dubbed into the series, the first being a 2015 dub.
Crunchy was able to release an English version of the dub on DVD in the spring of 2018, which was followed by a full Blu-ray release in October.
The new version of “Black CLOVER” features a different title, dubbing the title of the anime, “The Boy Who Wasn’t There.”
The episode features the characters talking about how they were there and how it feels to be back in time.
In an interview with Digital Trends, director Takashi Miike, who directed “Black Clover” for Crunchy, revealed that the dubbing process was quite laborious.
“I had to edit a lot of scenes,” Miike said.
“Some scenes, there are no words, just a lot.
And other scenes, I had to create subtitles, so that was really difficult.
We also had to re-edit a lot.”
The “Black CCLOVER” episode will be released on September 23, 2018, and the full episode will premiere on September 27.
